Kick off the holidays with Celtic Christmas, a musical celebration of the season featuring traditional music from Ireland and Scotland.
The evening will start with a traditional Irish session – a set of fast-paced jigs and reels. Following a brief intermission, the performers will present the Christmas story in traditional and seasonal music and dance.
To cap the evening, the audience will be invited to join in singing some favorite carols.
Featured performers include the Barley House Band, flutist Frank Claudy, Kirk Witherspoon on the bagpipes, Linda Shoesmith on the hammered dulcimer with Reg Shoesmith on guitar, dancer Katie Davis, singer Marcia Muesing, the St. Peter’s Choir directed by James O’Hare, plus other special guests.
Tickets are $10 at the door for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger, or $20 per family. For information, visit www. barleyhouseband.com, or call the St. Peter’s, 563-940-0508.
