Bucktown Revue is Friday at the RME

The November Bucktown Review will feature a cornucopia of area talent. Guests include the exotic music of Olenka and Otro Mundo; singer-songwriter Tony Hoeppner with Ellis Kell; chanteuse Susan McPeters accompanied by Jonathan Turner on the piano; musical funny man Steve Couch; poet Kristin Abraham; plus MC Scott Tunnicliff; the Barley House Band; and the Brer Bucktown Traveling Tent Show Dramatic Society.

The Bucktown Revue (brought to you by the same cast that created and performed last year's River City Radio Hour programs) is an old-fashioned webcast radio program inspired by the variety-show broadcasts of yesteryear. The monthly performance, available for downloading from Apple iTunes, features live folk music, poetry and humor.

The Bucktown Revue features master of ceremonies Scott Tunnicliff and the Barley House Band as house orchestra.

All shows are  in the River Music Experience Performance Hall, 129 Main Street, Davenport, Iowa. Doors open at 6:30 with the show at 7. Admission is $7 per person. Adult refreshments will be available -- in the spirit of Davenport's old-time Bucktown saloon district -- for this family-friendly show, though no spitting, gambling or fighting will be permitted due to insurance regulations.

Broadcasts are recorded live at 7 p.m. the third Friday of each month September through April.
